SP.dota Interviewed

Recently, a new squad made it’s appearance in our community. 5 players, considered to be the cream of the crop in Greece, decided to build a new team from the ashes of 1P and Gbet. 5 different people that all share a common interest in one game: Defence Of The Ancients. We would all like to welcome our brand new SP Gaming.dota squad with a little interview taken by Alex “Zara” Sakellariou:

Tell us some stuff about how you started playing DotA, and which were your previous teams.
Red: I was playing for d3mo, Dn, Visual.dota and Dh.
Lef: I only played for gBet
G0ld3n: I’ve been playing dota for almost three years now, and I am playing with moula since the beginning and I think this helps a lot in the chemistry of the team. We see DotA as a hobby for now, and it is really nice to play with people that share your view of the game.

How did you decide to build this team?
G0ld3n: I was wanting to play with these players for a long time and when 1P disbanded, we saw it as a first class opportunity to talk about playing together and we agreed easily.

What is your goal and your ambitions in joining SP Gaming community? You all have experience, but this team is actually new.
Moula: the purpose of this team is to reach a high international level in order to make Greece’s appearance known to Europe.
Lef: We won the Euro 2004 in football, and now we are going to win the Euro in DotA

Tell us a few words about the tournaments and leagues you are going to participate in.
Red:We are practicing hard everyday to reach the highest possible level and to be able to compete against the top international teams. We are going to participate in every major online cup and league and our goal is to have the chance to compete in a big LAN event abroad.

Namkor, you are the team Leader. What is your role in the team?
Namkor: Yes I am the team leader and my role is to give everything I got inside the game in order to win. I try to organize the team and keep our morale high even if some things go wrong ingame.

Lef, you are one of the most wellknown players in Greece and abroad, since you had a great career and some very good results in solo WC3. Now you are also one of the top greek DotA players. What is your greatest success as a gamer?
Lef: I believe the greatest success is that I have inspired some people with my games and my results and moves in solo WC3. In dota, I want to go a step further and make the best greek team in history. But, the thing I mostly want to do is participate in an international LAN event with this team. I am sure we can achieve great things.

Why did you pick SP Gaming instead of joining some other organization or start something new?
Red: SP Gaming is like the greek MYM
Namkor: We chose SP Gaming because it is really well organized and it pays proper attention to all it’s squads.
Lef: And because SP Gaming has also some cute female players. Heh
